FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

We provide all residential customers with dos and don'ts prior to servicing. All of our services are performed in line with relevant acts, legislations and best practices.

What Pest Problems Do You Deal With?

We provide general pest management services for insects such as ants, cockroaches, spiders, silverfish, fleas, ticks and vermin including mice, rats and birds.

Do You Offer Free Termite Control Quotes?

Yes, a Spinifex Pest Control technician will come to your home; identify the type of termite problem you have and let you know what action is appropriate, as well as the associated costs if treatment is required.

Are Pest Control Treatments Safe For Children And Pets?

Yes, our treatments are safe for use in areas which children and pets frequent, providing a few simple precautions are followed.

Commonly, we use low odour, low toxicity water based preparations, combined with a variety of other APVMA approved products and current methods.

We do ask that you vacate the premises while we are carrying out your service and small children, pets and people who are sensitive to insecticide products will need to be away from the treated area for up to 4 hours.

How Long Will The Treatment Take?

Depending on the type of treatment and the size or your home or business, pest control treatments can take at least one hour or more to complete.

What Should We Do If We Have Termites?

Once you have located your suspected termite activity, LEAVE IT ALONE! DO NOT TOUCH IT UNTIL A PROFESSIONAL TERMITE MANAGER HAS SEEN IT!

Disturbing the active termites or spraying them with household insecticides can make professional termite treatment more difficult and slow down the process. This can actually result in more timber damage rather than less.

After you have called Spinifex Pest Control, a technician will come to your home and carry out a Termite Inspection to identify the extent of the activity and the genus of Termite that may be present. We will also try to ascertain the level of visible timber damage within the building.

Your Spinifex Professional will provide you with a Termite Management Proposal, outlining the appropriate termite solution for your home.

Quite often, a combination of treatment methods will provide the best results for you.
